Hey any guidelines on how an absolute complete totally foreign-to-the-idea-of-crotchet novice can get a start on learning how to amigurumi without breaking bank? I love these patterns so much!

amigurumipatterns:

Start with a basic pattern to learn how to crochet in the round - making a ball. Basically all amigurumi are a variation on this shape. This one explains the basics quite well: http://www.amigurumipatterns.net/Cartoons-and-Games/Baby-Monsters/ And if you’d bump into something you wouldn’t be familiar with and feel isn’t very well explained you can search for it on youtube, there’s lots of video’s showing in detail how a stitch is made. :) You’ll love it once you get started!

I recently made a custom rainbow colored dragon and I have a limited amount of that (extra soft) yarn left over. Hit me up if you’d like your own extra squishy and extra colorful custom plushie. :)

for-the-love-of-crochet:

For weeks I have been going back and forth on wanting a yarn winder. I found some that were good for as low as twenty dollars, and even some that cost well into the hundreds. I debated about buying one of the twenty dollar ones but I was never certain on my desire for it so I found an alternative.
